Another year, another bag of popcorn to sell. I'll tell you though... thanks to Mr. Craig, Ms. Cynthia, and Ms. Dawn, we were much better prepared for the first day of the sale than ever before... or at least we would have been had Trail's End not decided to stop labeling the bags of popcorn with the type of popcorn that was inside.
Being Scout families though, we were ready to adapt, getting creative with our own packaging techniques. So, with tables set up to split up popcorn for the Scouts on, ribbon and stickers ready to packaging, and Jensen's Grocery Store once again being so generous with their space by letting us sell there, we were set to sell! |

We spent the better part of the day in that busy parking lot, but in the end almost all boys had picked up their popcorn, and many had sold the majority of their stock to the generous resident and visitors of Blue Jay and Lake Arrowhead. Popcorn sales always seem like a lot of work as the event approaches, but a little bit of effort right up front sure pays off. We are very fortunate to have BSA provide such a great fundraiser to help us earn money to support the Pack. |
