Recruitment Picnic

Spring was in the air, Scouts were already asking how many more days until summer vacation, and camping season was almost upon us.  It was time to build the ranks.  So with a prayer for good weather, we invited lots of friends and gathered at Grass Valley Park to give everyone interested in Scouting a chance to hang out with us, see what we are all about, and maybe join.

It was a great day, with tons of activities!

We started out with a team coordination walking game.  Some of the teams did really well!  

Others found that it was harder than it looked.

We also played "Shark!"...

...and had a water balloon toss.

Eventually everyone needed a rest.  Let's EAT!  Somehow, as usual, there ended up five times as many desserts as there were salads.

We ate, the boys, their guests, brothers, and sisters played near the lake, and a good time was had by all.
